Another new product this month, yet again one of our favourite suppliers, Minene, has come up trumps with the 3 in 1 Baby Play Pen, Activity Mat and Sofa. This is such a brilliant idea it's a wonder we hadn't seen anything like it before, it does what it says on the tin and is one of those fantastic products which will give years of use as your little one grows. Start with a soft play pen to keep your little one safe, then as they get bigger, open it out to make a big padded playmat and once they can sit by themselves you can fold it up into a sofa.The last few rays of the summer sun are disappearing fast but it's still important to make sure that you have sun shades for your pushchair and car. When the sun shines, it will be lower in the sky, and the brightness can still disturb your child and be uncomfortable for them so the Minene Car Window Blinds and Pushchair Sun Shades are a great way to help shade their eyes.

Well, I've just got back from a 2 week holiday in the sun and I'm not sure if I was missed, orders still went out, the phone still got answered but I'm now back in the swing of things again.We rented a car whilst we were away and took with us an Inflatable Car Booster Seat by Bubblebum for my eldest daughter - and she loved it. It proved to be not only a massive saving over the cost of renting a booster seat but also gave us the confidence that we knew where it had been and that it was perfectly safe. Renting a booster seat would have cost us twice what the Bubblebum cost and we can use it again and again - it's now gone back in the boot of our car to be used whenever we need a spare booster.
We followed our own advice from our flying with children article and took a night flight and once again the children slept for the entire flight which started our holiday off in the best way.
What with taking a holiday we haven't introduced new products this month but have some really nice things in the pipeline - so watch this space.

Thanks to everyone who entered our "Win A Tushkit" Competition, we were truly stunned by the number of entries - on the 1st June we picked the winner at random and the Tushkit has been sent out - I hope the winner gets plenty of use from it. But, don't worry if you didn't win the Tushkit, you can still buy one on the website. We'll be coming up with a new competition soon so keep looking at our competitions page.
We've introduced a brilliant new product this month, the Inflatable Car Booster Seat by Bubblebum. This fabulous product means that you never have to be without a car booster seat for your little ones. It's so handy, we keep one in the boot of the car and also take it with us when on the train or bus (and we can get rid of our old booster seat which we picked up from a friend - and were never too sure about its quality!). The Bubblebum was invented by a Mum and has had a lot of practical thought put into its design and also meets all of the relevant EU safety requirements.
The sun has been shining and it's certainly a good time to be looking for those practical things either for yourself or as a gift for a friend or relative to help make the most of the good weather. The Baby Play Mat & Picnic Blanket by Minene is going to get a lot of use in the garden, in the park and on the beach and not forgeting to take proper protection from the sun's rays with a Solar Shade by Outlook.

We have some more great new products at www.kinderpods.com this month including the Buggyboard Maxi from Lascal and the Solar Shade by Outlook.
We've used a Buggyboard for a couple of years now and it has been an absolute winner with our children - and us! It's a simple, stylish, flexible and low cost way to transport a toddler and baby without splashing out on a new double buggy. And, with the summer surely nearly here and travel to far away sunny places coming up, it's essential to protect your little ones from the sun so we have started stocking the Solar Shade by Outlook which blocks up to 99% of the suns harmful UV rays. It's made by an Australian company and few countries have as much experience in sun protection as the Aussies.
If your travels won't take you beyond our shores then a great item to put in your car (all year round) are the Babies Go CDs. If you're a fan of Take That, U2, Abba, Coldplay, The Beatles, Michael Jackson or the Rolling Stones then these are for you. If you are sick and tired of the Wheels on the Bus going round and round and round or you find yourself singing Old Macdonalds Farm in the shower, buy a couple of these CDs which feature your favourite music in a style that both you and your little ones will really love.

At Kinderpods.com we're now looking forward to the summer, the weather has warmed up and as I write this the sun is shining through the windows - lovely!
So, with thoughts of summer holidays and picnics in the park, we've got a fabulous new product from one of our favourite suppliers, Minene. The Baby Play Mat & Picnic Blanket is a fantastic multi-use item, it comes in 4 bright and cheerful colours with either a flower pattern or stripes and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
The mat comes complete with attached soft toys to keep your little one amused and it's easy take with you when you're out and about because it come in its own carry bag. It's great for the summer but can also be used all year round.
It may also be worth taking a look at our flying with children article for some really useful advice before heading off for the sun.
On a more serious note, we have stopped selling electric socket covers - we came across a website called fatallyflawed.org and were just a little "shocked" at the possible dangers of socket covers and so we quickly took the decision to take them off the shelves - take a look at our article about electric socket covers to read up for yourself.
Like a lot of our products, another new item we've introduced this month was designed and developed by a Mum solving a problem. The Cosy Shopper is a great solution to the problem we all have when going shopping at the supermarket - dirty and unhygienic baby seats on shopping trolleys. This month we've made some more changes to the website with the addition of a new section called simply "More Stuff!!"
It was really difficult to come up with a name for this section because it'll have such a varied mix of articles and information - so after a great deal of brainstorming (actually a couple of cups of tea) we ended up with... More Stuff!! In this new section you'll now find this blog, a selection of new articles that we've been writing and some expanded product information.
The first major article is called Flying with Children - as we all start to think about holidays, the idea of taking a flight with your little ones can raise some concerns so we've tried to give you some tips and ideas to make the journey less stressful.
Our first flight with Lucy was when she was just 3 months old, it's not really recommended to fly much earlier that this. She now has a frequent flyer card, just like Mummy and Daddy! Amy was also under 12 months when she flew for the first time. We've taken quite a few flights since and so we thought we would pass on some of the things we've learnt about flying with children, some of the advice we learnt the hard way, and some is advice that we got from others. There's a whole host of info there, not just about the flight itself but also advice about booking the flight, airport parking and so on. We've divided it into two parts to make it easier to read.
Also in the More Stuff!! section we've added expanded information on some of the products so there's an article about how to use a Tushkit Changing Mat and also some more info about the Minene 4 in 1 Changing Bag. We've also included an article about choosing a baby towel, it's great to have a bit more information on this topic because there's so much choice out there.
Look out for more articles coming soon!
We've also introduced a new range of Pushchairs & Travel Systems from Hauck and Cosatto and you will find these in the Pushchairs and Stollers section. Since we added pushchairs to our range we thought it would be a good idea to add buggy boards. We've used a buggy board since Amy came along and have found it absolutely invaluable so please take a look in the pushchairs section - as I write we are waiting for our first delivery of buggy boards but they should be with us in a day or two and we'll put them on the website as soon as we have them.
We're also due to get a delivery of Wean Machines, these are the really practical (and popular) food preparing device so look out for them appearing in the Baby Feeding section very soon.

Well, here we are in a new decade, and once more we were plunged into snow. Like everyone, we became thoroughly sick of the snow, Lucy and Amy loved it for the first day or two, building snowmen & throwing snow balls but after a while they began to realise that it is just cold and stops them going to interesting places (and nursery was closed which upset Lucy no end), but she loves her new dolls house so every cloud has a silver lining!
We’ve given the website a bit of a revamp, changed some of the category titles to hopefully make finding your way around the site a little easier and we have added a couple of new categories to help you find products suited to the age of your little one. We’ve also added more information on each product page about delivery charges, we're trying to be as fair as possible so our delivery charges are based on total order weight (that's how we have to pay for it) and so someone buying something lightweight pays less P&P than someone buying something heavy, of course we've capped P&P at £4.95 irrespective of the number of items or the total overall weight - just click on the link on each product page to see delivery information.
The new categories are - Baby Products containing items suitable for children up to around 18 months and the new Toddler Products category is for products suitable for children up to about 5 years. There is a little bit of cross-over but we would welcome your feedback if you found the new categories helpful in finding just what you need at www.kinderpods.com.
We have added a couple of new products in the last week or so with the Doidy Cup and the Lil Rinser. As you may know, the Doidy Cup is great for helping your little one transition from a bottle or sipper cup to a cup with a rim. The benefit is that they can easily see the contents without having to tip the cup so making it easier for them to control the cup.
The Lil Rinser really is useful to help stop those hair washing tears and tantrums which make hair washing such a stress.
On a final note, we,ve kept our prices the same despite the increase in VAT.

The build up to Christmas has been disturbed by a big snowfall which caused blockages on the roads and delays in deliveries. At Kinderpods we like to get our orders out on the same day as they are received but if they then spend a day waiting to be collected it can be frustrating, but understandable - anyway, the snow only affects us for a day or two each year so it not a major problem.
Our eldest child, Lucy, is particularly looking forward to Christmas, at 4 years old this will be the first Christmas when she is really aware of what is going on - I just hope that the dolls house gets her seal of approval.

We have just taken delivery of new stock from a company which is new to the UK. We found Minene at the big tradeshow in Germany earlier this year and were so impressed with their products which really fit in with our ethos of finding innovative products for you. The 4-in-1 Changing Bag from Minene is quite simply the most innovative and practical changing bag we have seen - but it's also a really beautiful bag in great colours and patterns, we had great excitement this afteroon as we opened the boxes!
We also have the 3-in-1 Changing Bag, this is a super stylish bag which can be used in 3 different ways, backpack, large shoulder bag & small shoulder bag.
Also in the order were the Minene Hooded Apron Towels, these are really big and soft and come in Blue, Pink, Green or Orange with each towel having the hood in an animal shape, Rabbit for Blue & Pink, Frog for Green and a really sweet Hippo for the Orange, but they are also apron style towels so as well as being great fun, they are also so practical. The same animal hoods are used in the Minene Poncho Towels which are great for at home, at the pool or on the beach.

Whilst bringing up our Daughters, Lucy (4) and Amy (1), we have found some really practical baby products which really helped make our life easier and we thought you might be interested in hearing our views on them. This is part of the reason we set up this website, so that we could share our experience with other parents and to provide a one stop shop where you can buy these favourite baby products.
Tushkit - We wish we had found this earlier, but have been using it for a while now and it really helps make nappy changing easy. Whilst changing Amy’s nappy in a public changing area there is never anywhere to put all the bits and pieces, cream, wipes, nappies etc especially when it is one of the “fold-down” changing tables, so the Tushkit is a bit of a boon. It’s an-all-in-one nappy changing mat which is easy to carry, hygienic and avoids rummaging around in the changing bag for the wipes, nappies or nappy cream which always seem to hide in the very bottom of the bag.
The First Years On The Go Booster Seat - The On The Go Booster Seat lives almost permanently in the boot of the car and is ready whenever we go somewhere and there is no high chair, particularly useful when visiting relatives and friends. It provides a really comfy but secure seat for our little ones and only recently has Lucy agreed to stop using it – and it has now moved on to Amy. It’s also really easy to clean and very compact.
Wooden High Chair - We love wooden high chairs, there are plenty to choose from but our preference is for an up to the table design – we think it helps our little ones feel more comfortable at the table and more “grown-up”. We really like the way it suits our kitchen décor and looks just like another part of the furniture.
Potette Plus Where would we be without the Potette Plus. Wherever we are, we have a clean hygienic potty for Lucy, we’ve used it on the roadside, in town, in the park, everywhere. I guess that Lucy is like a lot of toddlers, she doesn’t think in advance that she might need the toilet, it’s a case of “I need the toilet and I need it now!!” and the Potette Plus with a fresh liner is always ready to go just when Lucy needs to go!
Tommee Tippee Heat Sensitive Bath Mat Whilst we all know that you should always check the temperature of the water before putting baby in the bath, it’s really great to have a bit of reassurance that it isn’t too hot and this is what this heat sensetive bath mat does for us. We also like the fact that it’s non-slip, our children like to stand up and move around in the bath so this mat is great at helping them keep their feet.
